Tip Calculator for People Who Like Rounded Totals
I've always found it satisfying when my total bill, including tip, comes out to a whole-dollar amount.
So, I put together the table below to show which base amounts (without tip) lead to a whole-dollar total amount (with tip).
Pink boxes indicate that the total is a whole-dollar amount. Hover over any box to see the total, including tip.
In case you're interested, the frequency chart above shows how often this phenomenon can be achieved for each percentage. The highest frequency is 25%, followed by 20%.
